Welcome to the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto

Just one student at the Faculty of Dentistry is all it takes to make a tremendous impact on the world - from developing oral health policies that affect millions in Canada and abroad, to developing the next-generation of dental materials or giving a smile back to a patient who has gone without.

Our vision is to improve human health by advancing dentistry through inspired leadership, innovation, and excellence in education, research and practice. Nestled In the heart of Toronto’s hospital alley, in partnership with Canada’s vibrant, innovative biomedical engineering and medical communities, the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto consistently ranks among the top dentistry programs in Canada and internationally.

DDS2 student Arshia Sabet recently developed his product, ComfiDam, the world’s first breathable dental dam.

Professor Anil Kishen knew nanoparticles had potential applications well beyond dentistry, but recently, he had the opportunity to see its impact on an injured horse.

A transformational gift from The Rossy Foundation, matched with funding from the University, will help thousands of patients – including low-income and recent immigrants – gain access to excellent, affordable dental care at The Rossy Clinic.
