Funding and financial assistance for graduate students

Financial aid

The University of Toronto has information on various forms of financial aid, including federal and provincial student loans through OSAP, the Ontario Student Assistance Program.

Student Accounts also have information and support regarding finances.

Professional line of credit

Most lending institutions offer a professional line of credit. You may go to any lending institution offering professional lines of credit to secure your funding.

Scotiabank is the preferred provider for the University of Toronto (the branch at Queen and McCaul, 222 Queen Street West, Toronto). However, we encourage you to shop around and find the best deal for you.

Scholarships, awards and bursaries

There are many funding opportunities available to you.

The Student Services Office will send a form for financial aid to all graduate students every October.

If you complete and submit this form, we will assess what financial aid you may receive from the Faculty.

You cannot apply for specific awards. If you complete and submit the financial aid application form sent to you, we will assess what financial aid you may receive from the Faculty, dependant on your financial and academic needs.
